anyone near NYC have a 46mm socket I can borrow?
I need a 46mm socket to remove the tank strainer on my 83, I would buy one but no local stores I know of carry them and if I order online I wont have it for this weekend. I'd like to do the job on saturday. I'd be willing to leave a deposit. I will do the job in White Plains Westchester county. Please let me know. thanks

Are there no independent tool trucks in your area? (Snap-on, Mac, Matco)

an adjustable toilet wrench works - theres a thread about it, if there is a northern tool in your area - the socket would be easy to get there and cheap too, but it would be 1/2 inch drive.

None of the local car parts stores have one? They're typically found in axle nut sets. I think AutoZone often rents them.
