It could be fixed (but not by a dealer and their new parts prices), but the hit on carfax will kill any resale down the road....if that matters to him. $60K for the motor? Wow...put in a good, used motor if he must have it fixed. Yep, UPS drivers can make alot of $$, especially around holidays. Who wants to wear a brown Dickies all day long , every single day tho... ;) |

The car is totalled, receive insurance money, buy another. As long as the person at fault is insured, what other advice is needed? And even if we the forum do or don't think the car is totalled, as long as the adjuster thinks its totalled its a moot point. Just make sure they total it. As long as the motor didn't run dry someone will rebuild that car. CLS500 fenders, a used front bumper, headlights, airbags, and a pull. Doing the work yourself someone will have a nice car for like $20,000. |
