Pic Request 107/129/123 Owners!

Hey everyone,

I was hoping someone could snap me some pictures of the cruise control amplifier and actuator locations on the 107/129/123 chassis.

I'd like some nice high resolution pics if possible!

Thanks!

Kris

My 97 SL320 ( M104 3.2 inline 6 cyl with Bosch ME 2.1 injection ) has throttle by wire so it does not have a cruise actuator / computer.

My 91 300SL - 24 valve ( M104 3.0 inline 6 cyl with Bosch KE injection ) has a throttle cable and a throttle body that has a servo motor override ( for the ASR system ) but I have no idea if the same motor provides cruise. In might be a few days but I'll have a look.

Ah yes, the later 129s and ASR'd 129's are not compatible with these same cruise amplifiers.

My targets for the 129's would have been 300SL and 500SL, the 90-93-ish era ones. I believe their amps are stashed in that module box in the passenger corner.

I had a look at the 91 300SL. The actuator is under the intake so I can't get a pic of it. The actuator linkage runs from the throttle body towards the block to the cruise actuator.

The throttle cable attaches to a pivot that appears to have a vacuum hose attached to it, not sure what this does.

The only box I see that might be cruise is HGS 008 545 26 32 it is the type with a locking knob that plugs in like a relay. It measures about 2" deep x 4" wide x 5" tall .

Does it look like this:

W124 R129 SL 300SL 300CE HGS Control Module 0085452632 | eBay

That looks an awfully lot like the MAS relay.

Yep, looks like that. My 91 has a MAS box that looks the same as well 011 545 83 32 ( the MAS is supposed to control the fuel pump , idle speed and AC compressor )

I'll have a look at my CD shop manual and see if it shows a location for the CC unit.
