W124 wiper arm
OK, got the initial cover off at top of arm (plastic) to lube my wiper arm at motor but what happens after that. Do not see a way in to get to the assy.
Am I missing something?

It is far far more complicated to get into the mechanism than most realize. There are DIY articles out there to do it.

everything have to come out
The half moon gear is up side down, the cover is on the bottom. Be sure to take picture prior to removal of the wiper motor and transmission.
