why the notch in an alloy v8 bell housing
2 Attachment(s)
I just looked at my pile of transmission cores and am wondering why two of my dead transmissions have a notch in the bell and 7 don't. They're a mix of dead 380, 500 & 560 transmissions I've kept around over the past 10 years.
The more specific question, is should that notch be present on a 1992 500sl transmission? Thx -CTH |
For the crank sensor & support.

Which means any EZL comtrolled v8, m117 or M119, but not the earlier 380 & 500 motors that used the metal can style controller, right?

Right, but the trans will still fit & work in those cars.
