W126 center drag link

I decided to order some stuff for my Benz. Mostly preventative maintenance. I see that the tie rods can come as a complete set. Used to ordering just the ends. Given the price, I am ordering for both sides.

But then I see this center link thingy. Really dont know the steering setup well. Is this a part that I should replace as well? It appears just one is needed.

Any other parts I should consider? Already did the lower ball joints and upper control arms are on order.

Further searching, and I came across this. Hopefully its okay to link to this. But its a great resource to get a list together. Except the Idler kit, the part numbers along were searchable on Pelican Parts.

Excluding upper control arms and lower ball joint, this is pretty much it I guess. Ha! Guess I got my own answer on this one Hopefully someone else finds this thread useful.

What, you're not going to replace the big sway bar insulators?
I've not done it, but I hear it's a real fun job.
The center drag link generally lasts a long time; if the boots on the joints are still good and the joints themselves are snug, then it's probably fine.
be sure to get top quality lower control arm bushings, the cheaper ones go pretty quick, and you end up ruining a set of tires.

To avoid lowering the exhaust a lot of guys take the old idler arm bolt out by grinding off the head, then mount the new one upside down, with the locking nut on the top. This might be construed as a safety issue, if the nut came loose and fell off the bolt would fall out. But with that self-locking nut, probably about as likely as winning the lotto. That being said, I lower the exhaust and do it the factory way.

The sway bar insulators on mine are in good shape. But its something I can do at anytime.
