Drivers Door/ Hinge ? - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

My 1987 420SEL needs a little door tweaking so that it once again can close smoothly. The drivers door drops about a 1/4"
to perhaps as much as 5/16" as the door is opened. Am I looking at hinge replacement or is an adjustment with the present hinge possible?? Ruby Tuesday

The doors are adjustable in all possible directions. However, it can get tricky with adjustment of door and striker. I suggest you take it to a professional.
