Angry BRAKE PEDAL = ALL CONSOLE LIGHTS FLASHING

I lost my 1993 300ce convrtible to Hurricane Sandy- full insurance replacement.
I found a 1993 300ce conv with 118,000 one owner CarFax etc. I had a PPI of the car inspected by AIM . They rated the car A with no issues on 1/7/13
I had the car transported to me on 1/29/13

Car drove well but the car sounded like a truck and what sounded like belt squeal and somerattling.
I attributed it to cold weather. After she ran a while she was quieter (??)
When I started her up the next day she sounded aleeter better but when a went to put her in gear and stepped on the brakes all of to console lights started blinking this includes the convertible top button. I have reached out via email to the dealer Ultimate Motors in Virginia and the AIM company. As of today no response. The car was sold with a warrnty from Preferred Warranties Inc.
Can anyone help explain this flickering /flashing light problem and what needs to be done.

Recommend that you contact the tech who performed the PPI and get details on that inspection. Hard to believe the problems you mention surfaced after you took possession of the 1993 300CE convertible.

Most likely a ground wire issue, should be a simple fix!

Rallye Mercedes Roslyn New York ,says faulty headlight switch is the cause of the flickering lights-??????? do this make sense. I don't have any response from you guys so ,does this mean I'm going in alone, good bye cruel world.

Can someone tell me what are the results of flex disc failure, if not replaced.

My 92 400e just started doing the same thing-dash lights blinking when the brake pedal is depressed. It stops when the headlights are turned on. Headlight switch makes sense to me.

Broken flexdisc= no driveshaft to rear wheels= no driving the car, period. If it breaks at speed it can severely damage the driveshaft and tunnel.

Wouldn't the preferred warranty pay for the harness less a possible deductable?

Warranty company does not cover wiring harness. Trust me I checked.
Question is, will new wiring harness solve my problems?

Zeggate,
Did you find the cause of the problem with your courtesy lights?

Not as of this date. I took car my indie , he concentrated on the top, brakes and tranny service, strut ??? all to the tune of $2200 replacing (5) pistons 2 main and three smaller ones.
I will address the courtesy lights later. Remember Rallye Motors MBZ says the wiring harness is falling apart. My indie has not said this.

I found the solution and fixed mine, by disconnecting the power to the automatic antenna. Now, the courtesy light switch in the door functions properly, lights go on and off as they should. I'd love to know how the wiring between the courtesy lights and the antenna relate. There is a power strip in the driver's footwell, but I have not investigated further.
