Hit an animal. New lamp assembly out of my price range. None in local boneyard. Ebay - Stearns Parts (Miami) - about $65 for a brand new lens only shipped. Arrived in three days. Exterior box solid, well packed with air pillows inside. Inner oem box from Bosch, also bubble wrapped inside.

I'm happy to have a good experience with on line parts.

follow up:

While the part was great, the head lamp unit I was repairing had sustained considerable internal damage, many plastic parts broken off, and lost in the accident, so no JB Weld to the rescue. Will be ordering a used head lamp, and if it arrives with some sand blasting, I'll already have the new glass. So before you just swap a lens take a careful look inside, don't be a dummy like me. SWMBO and I have decided the animal that was hit must have been one of the local wild hogs. Had fur inside the headlight.
