1999 E320 exhaust

Can I removed the resonator and replace with straight pipes? Will this impact performance?

You can if you like, but I'd suggest an X-pipe to do the mod properly, they are inexpensive on flea-bay.

On the V6, the only improvement to performance (assuming everything is working properly to begin with) is the weight savings. That resonator is a heavy dog! Under hard acceleration you will also gain a small amount of noise.

Good luck.
