can anyone discribe and detail the procedure for trplacing the front ball jounts ina 560 sel also what parts would be accpable thanks

The W126 and W123 use the same procedure.

Spend money on better joints... OEM or Lemforder. Just did another set on a W126 a few days ago. Spray everything with good penetrating oil before attempting to beat the old joints out. PB or Kroil is what I recommend.

You need a dial indicator to reset the end play of the rotor. Repack the bearings and replace the seal OR replace them if they are burned (highly possible).

Ideal time for new upper arm if needed...probably need.

Check the lower control arm bushing, if that is rotted out... you may as well do the entire side otherwise it will be next to impossible to align the car. Same goes for the guide rod. Those are easy if the spring is out.

Budget $450-650 for parts for the entire front end. I can tear the front end down in just short of five hours working with hand tools from 1/4" drive to 3/4" drive stuff.
