124 series door swap question

Yesterday I took a door from a 95 E320 and put it into a 95 e300d the only wire that was different was the wire that plugs into the door lock actuator on the E320 you can access the wire from the side of the door through a plug which comes out and you unplug the white wire and the black plug has a three wire conection and then pull the rest through the door, on the E300d there is just a cap in the same spot on the door and I pulled the plug out from below and it only had two wires . I guess my question is should I take the lock and actuator mechanism out of the diesel door and install it into the E320 to make it correct or is there a simpler way thanks
