92 300D no headlights

I have no headlights, the high beam light is allways on. I checked the fueses, they are good. I checked the headlights, and on both headlights where the female plug, plugs to the back of the bulb, the plug is melted. What is going on? Any Ideas?

Perhaps your light bulbs drew too much current and melted the plugs? It sounds like its time for new plugs or headlamp assemblies

Going to get different headlight fixtures tomorrow . Also going to see how many volts the alternator is putting out.

I put new used headlight assemblies in and all is good, lights work now. That is weird that they both went out at the same time.
