AND........
If there isn't a mechanic listed in your town on the "Good MB Shops" section, then pick the town nearest to you that has mechanic on the list and call him. Tell him you saw he was recommended on PP' s website.....he'll probably already know that....and ask if he could recommend a mechanic in your particular part of the state. There's a pretty good chance he will. It takes a village sometimes to take care of these cars.

Years ago our '87 300E had a fan bearing problem in Eastern Washington State. We ended up in Wenatchee needing a Benz mechanic (and parts). The phone book showed nothing. In fact there wasn't a mention of any "foreign" car garages. On a hunch I called one of the Big Three dealers, asked for the service manager and explained my predicament. He immediately recommended a shop close to our motel. We called and they had Benz Seattle UPS over the necessary parts and we were on our way in 2 days. Great professional shop with good results.

just an update, I found the closest guy on there, about 1.5 hours away. (not far for here)
the guys wife (who answers the phone) knew more about my car than the local import shop. done with the AC and a few other things for $233 got to get a few more things done (that I already knew about)
