Repairing Panel Above Pedals

Howdy,

I have a W123 car and the last week or two the panel under the instrument cluster, the one that goes around the pedals, has been falling down. It looks like there are clips on the side closer to the driver, but at least one of them doesn't seem to latch, and the back supports don't look too hot. There is also some part that I can only compare in appearance to a computer hard drive, a rectangular metal case. I'm not sure if that is supposed to be mounted in some way, or if it is just dangling because it normally rests against the panel.

Okay, so is this an easy part to replace and install myself? If so, how? I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, so keep that in mind. Thanks for any help
