Hi senior members. I have a 1995 E300D with 253K miles, a 1991 300E, a 1992 400E, and a 1993 400SEL. I do all my own repair.
I have a question. I need to know where the Convence control unit is located in the 1991 400E. I have a picture from the Mercedes repair CD but there is no landmarks around it to know where it is on the car. Thanks Hal |

"Beneath left side of rear seat" is what my manual shows, although it does not list a 91 400E, shows 92 as first year????
EDIT Oh I see you list it as a 92 first, then in your question you say 91.

The back seat cushion comes out easily. There are a couple release buttons on the lower front edge of the cushion, where the upholstery meets the carpet.
Best if two people do this. Push in the button and lift the cushion bottom up on each side. Carefully ease the cushion out from under the upper cushion then maneuver it out the door.
