w201 ac receiver dryer high pressure switch

Is there a way to replace the high pressure switch on the receiver dryer without draining the system? Is there a valve of some sort that I can close to swap the part out? AC works great, only thing is that the low speed fans stay on when I turn off the car. Everything else has been tested so I am positive it is the switch.

No.

Do the fans turn off when you disconnect the wires at the high pressure switch?

Yes. I have the fans disconnected now and use manual high speed when I run ac. I guess I'll just wait until the summer is over and then do it. No sense in tampering with it now.

Just leave the high pressure switch disconnected. Problem solved.
