New here, need advice

So, I'm helping a friend clean out his shop and he has a 1990 190E, 202,000 miles, exterior is in great shape (except for the layer of dust), interior is good as well, just light wear on some buttons and a couple of the wood panels are cracked (surface). The bad part about it is that the engine blew a head gasket (maybe) and it was parked that way. He partially took the front apart to try to take the head off, but when he was working on it he said that the oil pan was full of coolant (drained now). The motor is locked up (M103, 2.6l), as I tried to spin it with a wrench, but did not force it. All he wants is 500.00. Worth it? Is the engine ok? I have not dealt with Benz's since my 560SEL in Japan (same engine).

True. I just located a 300E with the same engine, the 300E is rough but runs.

The first part of your username is a Japanese word. Do you know what it means?

In Japanese, you don't normally put "mono" after Obake.

For 500$ you can buy it and put a junkyard m103 in it. If you do the swap yourself, you can prolly get away under 1k.

If you are not mechanically inclined to do so, I'd pass
