Exactly what are driving lamps?
Also, I do not understand your sunroof question. I have a C280 so I might also be able to help you out.

problems with the sunroof include not opening and closing properly. when I try to tilt it up sometimes it sticks open. trying to close it, it may make a loud poping noise like the glass is breaking (it does not always want to close..sometimes it will when I play with the switch including sliding the glass front and back). sometimes when sliding open it gets caught at an angle and appears jammed. there was a service bulletin but it included cars with a 000025-025000 (or something like that) last six digits of the vin.
looking for driving/fog lamps as you would see on an AMG model... |

I have thought about adding the fog lights in the lower bumper where they are on the C36/C43... however, I decided not go go that route for the following reasons:
1. NOT enough BANG for the buck... probably over a grand $$! 2. Our C-classes already have fog lights integrated into the inner part of the headlight housing (see picture below). 3. These fog lights are operable without having the headlights on... I drive with them on at all times... looks good too, IMO!

A grand for fog lights?!!! No way. You can pick up a pair of projectors with cheapo bulbs for $40. If you want top of the line, think around $200. I mean, even the off road lights for my mom's Discovery FROM Landrover only cost $400, and those things are huge and about 4x as bright as the rover's high beams...

Well I'm not talking EL CHEAPO fog lights from PepBoys...
I'm talking about the real OEM stock replacement fog lights that would be put into the lower air dams on the 202. A lot more than you would imagine... If you go the Mercedes route you need harnesses, lights, and many other little things.. you'd be suprised. ATLEAST a grand.

used MB parts (fog lights, etc.) may be a good solution- searching the MB boneyards
the sunroof sounds like it needs to be adjusted at minimum- or need new angles (big $$$ job- and best not to be attempted by a beginer) -fad |
