C36 lowering question

I bought some used eibach springs and a used set of pads. I want opinions on how low is functional and keeping a good looking stance and appearance. I an riding on 225/40/r18's.

I want opinions on how low is functional functional for what purpose and driving need? how much shock travel do you need? what practical purpose is the change needed?

keeping a good looking stance and appearance. very subjective which is something you need to determine

225/40/r18's. lacks offset specs and probably better directed to a C36 forum where companion owners can advise on specific clearance issues

To expound on what Raymond said:

How much snow? Will the car be leaving paved roads? How high are the speed bumps? How deep are the potholes?

How low is your floor jack? Ever try to work on a car that's so low you can't get a jack under it? It sucks.

What is the reason for lowering?

It's mostly for looks, hate to say it. You have a point about the jack. I have a stock civic and it is hard to manipulate a jack.

How would I install the lowing springs with a jack, without the use of a spring compressor? Thanks

I've succeeded in changing springs without a spring compressor before, but that was in live axle setups. You will most likely need a spring compressor to do a spring swap on your car.

How low you want to go is up to you. I think lowering starts to look very silly once it goes past a certain point. I assume the vehicle in question is a C36 AMG, which comes from the factory about as low as I'd ever want to go unless I was racing it.
