95 E320 tail light problem

My E320's bulb out light is lit. I did a walkaround, and the left front corner light and left rear taillight are out.
Since I just had this problem on the right side, I thought it must be a corroded/bad fuse just like that problem.

The left corner/tail fuse isn't blown, and the holder doesn't appear to be corroded. I swapped the #3 fuse (R corner/tail) with the #8 fuse (L corner/tail)—no joy. Swapped them back, right side lit up, left side still dark.
Checked all the bulbs first thing, all good.

Any ideas, folks?

Just had this same taillight problem on my son's 1988 300ce. Replaced the headlight switch in the dash and all bulbs now work properly.

Can you swap illumination warning relay modules with your other 124 as a test?

Richard: that very well may be it, my headlight switch is all floppy inside.

sixto: I bet I can! Having two of the same chassis sure is nice. Do you know offhand where those relays are located?

It was the headlight switch. Thanks for the help, y'all!
