Noticed recently my vacuum pump (271 230 11 65) is leaking, indy recommends replacing with new pump. All searches have lead me to possibly think the gasket simply needs replaced, but not sure how well pump is performing. Gasket part number is 271 238 01 80. I can't seem to find any information on here about replacement or service of such pump - is this a typical failure?

Would this vacuum have something to do with the door locks not working?

Any suggestions/opinions as to replacement of: gasket or pump?
