Unhappy broken door lock

The passenger side door lock doesn't work. (lock or unlock with the key).
I removed the door panel and water barrier. Upon inspection I found that a small white plastic part that connects to the locking mech from the shaft out of the back(inboard) of the handle assembly was broken. This piece connects the handle assembly shaft to the locking mechanism(s).
Is there a common 'get by' fix, what part(s) do I need to order, or am I SOL?
