Remove M117 crank hub?

The service manual says the crank hub (not to be confused with the crank pulley or the vibration damper, which I can get off) can be removed "manually." I have had no luck with getting it off. Is there some trick to this or special tool I need?

Ended up modifying a puller to do the job. Man that thing was rusty.

the hub has to be heated to approx. 250f for installation. even then, it's tight going on. good luck, chuck.

Engine is out of the car, so everything will be a bit easier than usual.
