W124 Front Seat Swap?

Without getting underneath to check, might the front seats on my wagon be swappable? I suppose there is something preventing this from being easily done, but like most that passenger side seat is like brand new and my drivers seat is getting kind of soft. I've just not seen anything posted on this... Thanks

i don't see anything that will prevent you from doing this... i put passenger seat cushions from a coupe on the driver side.... the only issue is the "button" to release the seat on the coupe is now on the wrong side.. doesn't really matter though...

that wouldn't even be an issue with a wagon

Thanks Lee. On to the long-term projects list it goes then. I was over on the passenger's side coming from the shop and man, what a difference!

The only problem might be the rear bolts which are very hard to find, and even harder to remove, specially those that are closer to the center console.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but they definitely aren't swappable. The seat belt buckle and rail are attached to the inside of the lower seat frame, and the rail bolts onto the trans tunnel.
