1995 e320 air pump

My indie suggested that I unplug the air pump. I'm blowing the #1 fuse when I start the car and my windows don't work after that. Where is the plug for it and will that help solve my issue? I only spoke with him briefly so his diagnosis may not be correct due to incomplete information passed along to him. Please help.

The plug is actually for the electromagnetic clutch. IIRC, the plug is on the air pump itself.
