My 300TE is driving me nuts (no-start some times)
I turn the key and I get a click, maybe the dash lights flash and nothing else.
I turn the key again and I don't even get the click. Disconnect the battery and I can hear something click under the hood usually. Reconnect the battery and it starts happy as a clam. It may or may not start any time I try it. I have a big battery disconnect switch thanks to the local harbor freight store) to make this problem less annoying. But after a dozen times in a day, it's really, really annoying. It never stalls, it just decides it don't want to start. It seems to be after the point of getting the engine compartment hot. And living in NY with lots of snow and cold weather lately, getting the car hot does take some driving. Sitting over night is no guarantee that it will start in the morning. -CTH |
