Is this reasonable for labor?!
Hey everyone. I asked my mechanic for the cost of installing a set of neuspeed lowering springs and 4 bilstein sports, and he said the labor would be $440. Is this reasonable? I would install the shocks myself, but my parents freaked out at the idea... so uh.... im hoping I can find some cheaper labor costs...

I'll bet he is also thinking of the alignment.

I'd say that's pretty reasonable -- although you could trim that bill substantially if you did the struts yourself, that is, if your parents let you.
I'll be in Austin next week if you'd like some assistance. The struts/shocks are VERY easy to replace. The springs are a different story though. ~Paul ___________________ '91 300E, 208k miles |
