freeze plug nightmare
Hello all,
Im new to the forum but have been lurking for years. I have a 1983 240d with 240k miles. Ive owned her for four years. First freeze plug went rite under or behind the fuel pump. Easy fix. The next one that went was behind the flywheel, not so easy fix but I managed. This morning she is leaking but its hard to see where. Looks like somewhere under main pulley on the front of the engine. Is there a freeze plug there or some part of the cooling system that im not seeing. I havnt started pulling the radiator off yet but just wanted to know if somebody has had this happen. |

Ok new water pump is in! after an hour of cursing German engineers for making it damn near impossible to get to one of the bolts. Crossing my fingers that I get her sold before another breakdown.
