W126 280SEL 1985 ABS light on
Abs light on when the vehicle moves. I removed the 3 sensors and cleaned them and fixed them back but still light on. I replaced the brake fluid and changed the 4 oil hoses but again I have the light on. I jacked both rear tires and started the car and put the gear on D and start moving the rear tires, the abs light disappeared. While the rear side jacked I jacked the front side I put the gear on D and left it moving alone, no abs light but when I moved the front tires manually using my hand then the light came again
 I made sure that the problem in the front sensors and I changed them with new ones and I changed front brake pads and tested the car but still the light comes again. I tried another ovp relay but still I have abs light on. Need your help on this issue.........

Does the light stay on after starting, or only come on once you start driving?

The ABS compares the readings it is getting from the 3 sensors. If all readings are the same or very close, the light is OFF. If you jack the car up and run the rear wheels and the light is off then the system is not seeing the speed of the rear tires, so it thinks all is good (Light off). If you then jack up the front and spin a front wheel then the front and rear don't match so the light comes on.
I say that the front sensors are working and the rear is not working. Replace the rear sensor. Paul

A couple of questions. Where are you (what part of the world)?
Does the light come on as soon as the car moves a couple of feet, or does it come on at 5 or 10 MPH, or does it just come on at random times? It appears that all the sensors are working now so the problem is elsewhere. Does the speedometer seem to work correctly? Paul

It could have someting to go with it but I am not sure what BUT it is a problem that needs to be fixed. I would take care of the 'hard to turn' tyre and then go back to the ABS if it doesn't fix it. It's possible the ABS is causing the 'hard to turn' problem. It may be holding presure on the right front caliper. Find the 'hard to turn' problem and let us know what you find.

Check for rust or corroded tone wheels. Inspect the tone wheels for small cracks if they aren't corroded. Be sure the sensor is spaced properly from the tone wheel and aligned correctly. Check for corrosion in the sensor connection plugs / sockets, especially in the front wheel wells. Check for corrosion in the connectors at the ABS computer. Use some spray contact cleaner.
