94 SL600 slow to engage reverse
on my dad's sl, the car takes several seconds, to enage reverse.
Is there any kind of adjustment that can be made, or is the car due for a tranny rebuild? Its annoying to put the car in reverse, and have to wait a bit before the gear engages. The car still drives great, and has no problems in drive or any of the other forward gears with engaging, and shifts excellently when driving. but revers takes what seems like forever to engage. Anyone have any ideas of where to start looking? the car has to go in the shop anyway for something else, so if it is a simple adjustment or so, I want to have my dad get it taken care of. Alon
