Skipping 3rd...

What would make my tranny skip 3rd gear? It's a 1983 500Sl and the tranny has just been rebuild.

What do you mean skip 3rd? This tranny starts off in second and only shifts twice after that. Is it just shifting fast ? If so control pressure needs to be adjusted.

euro 287,

What it is doing is going from 55mph at 6k on the Tac to 2k when it shifts up, which leads me to believe that it is skipping 3rd.

Thanks for the help...
