ok say i take the old 86 300e out for a ride and i floor it once or twice. i bring it back in the garage and if you put your hand on the top of the hood in the middle its not hot at all or near the grille but if u put your hand on the side near the turn single lights both sides. it will almost burn your hand.. why is this? wut is heating so muchon the sides seraoiully its hot and if u leave your hand on it it will fry it. help?

I presume your car is a V6 or V8?
If so then the down pipes for the exhaust manifolds will be running down each side of the engine..have they got heat shields over the top of them? If not then thats probably whats causing the problem. |

Nope, yours is an inline engine. Only one side might be like this.
WHY DON'T YOU LOOK UNDER THE HOOD AND SEE WHAT'S MAKING IT HOT!!?

ok listen, Under the hood where the hot place is is where my ABS box is. and same spot on other side. only when eninge is floors or pushed allittle is when u can really feel. it.
