I would try the over-voltage protection relay. The fuel mixture could be off. The coolant temp sensor could be open or short. I have even seen a faulty EHA on this model. As for question #2, is the brake booster defective causing a big vacuum leak when the brakes are applied?

Mac,
Are the fuel mixture and the coolant temp sensor in the over-voltage protection relay. Or are they three different things where teh garage has to check. Is this also a point when the above mentioted is not good. When I am driving and a take my leg from the accelerator and push the clutch pedal to put an other gear then the RPM goes very quick down and the engine will cut out. Regards, George. |

190E 2.3 16V ENGINES HAVE A PROBLEM WITH A DEVICE CALLED "AIR FLOW SENSOR". THIS WILL CAUSE IDLE PROBLEMS THAT YOU HAVE DESCRIBED.
