No start
I have 2008 C-300 the key will turn but won't start the steeering wheel is not lock the screen tells me to remove key when put it in

Try another key before you do anything else. The keys MB makes and sells for these cars are JUNK. I always make sure I keep a working, spare key in the center console of all of my cars built after '98.

I tried the other key no luck

Most likely a faulty steering lock, possibly a bad EIS. Anyone with an MB SDS can diagnose it in about ten minutes. There's an excellent guided test that will pinpoint the problem in no time.
