190e over heating

Hello I need a little help on my 93 Mercedes 190e 2.6.. Its running hot on me. but its weird because the gauge says 80 degrees and both fans are on. I thought it was the thermostat so I took it out. still the same also I notice the water in the reservoir is cold man I'm really confuse any ideals what the problem could be your help is very appreciate thank you

See if you can collapse the radiator hoses, one or both may have internally collapsed on you.

Why do you think it's running hot if your gauge says 80°? Just because the fans are on could mean that the high speed fan switch on the engine block is shorted. Plus if the water in the reservoir is cold. Check fan switch and report back
