HELP

My 1997 E-420 was running in driveway, It died and has not started again. No codes, I purchased a new key from dealer. It turns over but will not start????

When it is turning over is the tach needle moving?

First thing that comes to mind is the crankshaft position sensor. Not much to changing it out.

I'd second a crank position sensor. There's a decent DIY with pictures (specifically on the E420) at BW in the W210 forum. Part is not very expensive, either.

Angry cps

Installed CPS still wont start...Tach not moving...Any Ideas????

Be glad the car was in your driveway... My crank position sensor failed on Interstate. After replacement everything was normal.

To help we need more details on how it acts and what you have done.
Things like .. battery voltage, grounds check, fuse checks ect

Fuses and grounds OK....Acts better trying to start since I put cps on... PS: TJ is my hero...

Fuel pump relay. Can you pull cap off rail to see if you gave fuel pressure.
