Interior lamp gremlin
1997 Sport W210 interior lamp won't turn off on 3 out of 4 doors when set on auto (closing the door and leaving the car to go inside).
Is it possible that 3 out 4 door switches are bad? Seems strange. I just bought this car and the lights on the dash do go out but not the overhead.

Have replace all the door switches and still the delay on the overhead lamp does not work.
Is there some sort of relay or something else that could be faulty?

Still looking to solve this problem....also have noticed that the interior door panel lights, at the bottom of the doors are on all the time when the car is running. The lights on the instrument panel that light up the mileage and such do go out when you close the door.
The car stereo has been replaced and I am wonder if that might have anything to do with it. Otherwise, is there some sort of lighting module that controls the delay that I can replace?
