w124 94 300ce license plate lights out
need to fix this before too long.
tried replacing bulbs-no go tried running 12 v to wire in hinge-nothing tried running 12 v to power side of the socket-nothing bad ground? do both sides need to be getting power? thx in advance g

fixed it....trunk harness was cut but in the weirdest way. from the outside the harness appeared to have never been touched but internally three of the wires were severed; interestingly not near a pivot point. working now
