Front suspension
Can anyone help me with the purchase of control arms for my 1987 560 sl. Mercedes? Can the upper ball joint be replaced without changing the control arm. Please help!

X2. What situation are you facing? What has your research shown you so far? Alittle more info may help responses.

Front suspension
The mechanic put the car on the lift and we noticed that both lower and upper rubber ball joints are c
Dry rotted. They seems to be solid mechanically. There is no movement or play. I am driving the car down to Florida and I just don't want any problems. To replace them is kind of expensive. I have researched on the Internet and the best price I got was $ 450.00 a piece for the uppers and $38.00 each for the lower. I would appreciated any leads or suggestions. Thanks ... |

I did a Google search with your upper control arm part number, 107-330-14-07, and found only OEM control arms....and as you noted...they are pricey. I did find a source for less than the price you stated. PM me if you're interested.
