What are the current part numbers?

In solving my recent issue with a bad MAS for my son's '90 300E, I ended up using a MAS from a '91 car that had a slightly different number. It seems to function in the same way as his original one (assuming the previous owner was using the original part).

In so far as MBZ changes their numbers frequently, where can I find what parts numbers are currently and what parts numbers used to be the correct one. I want to make sure that this MAS we're using doesn't have any long term detrimental effects on his car.

thankAL

The MAS that my son's car came with is # 007 545 65 32. I wasn't able to find that one, so I took one out of a 1991 300E part# 011 545 79 32. It seem to be working, but I want to make sure that it doesn't have any long term issues for the car.

I was hoping to find a database or website where I could cross-reference old part numbers to find out the subsequent part numbers all the way up to the most recent parts numbers (like what the dealer has- I believe). Where can I find this?

Thanks.

Benzmondi,
Subscribe to EPC (It's free) Then you can input your VIN and find the exact part numbers for your particular car.
