I think the car would have to actually be running long enough to trigger the code.....his car is not starting at all so I doubt he will get any codes.

I ended up replacing the wires and EZL. Still no start. I was about to check/order the CPS.

So the problem turns out that I erroneously plugged in the wires at the distributor cap. After looking at the old one and compared it, I matched it up and started the car. The car started right up. Thanks everyone for the help!
