320CLK rear head rest

Hello out there!
I have a 2003 320 CLK and the rear head rests are stuck in the up position. I press the switch on the dash to retract and I hear the servo whine but they remain in the up position...any thoughts?

thanks

You need to push switch in up position for a short while , then push down should go down, when first using switch in rasied position it has to grab a caitch at the fully raised position , then it will come down

Fix

04' 320 CLK...OK, turned out that the wife ran over a speed bump real fast and that set off the emergency response code that the car was rolling over. Then, the rear seat head rests pop up and act as a roll bar and lock themselves into position. To reset you need to go to a shop to reset the codes and manually unlock the headrests to retract them. Not an easy fix! So, went to a great shop in the valley run by Tom, best MB mechanic out there in the San Fernando Valley in Sherman Oaks, (818) 216-1234 (tell him Steve referred you= great rate!) Truly, this guy has worked magic for me on my 90' 126. Cost me $50...enough said! SO all is good and saved a $250 charge from an another Indy Mechanic!!! Call Tom!
