No power to solenoid, will start and drive fine after applying 12v to sol

MAS relay
Check your MAS relay by replacing it with a good used one. If you check the DTC (diagnostic trouble code) plug, you should see that the number of blinking lights will tell you that you have an issue with your MAS.

Ignition switch is a common issue on 129. After ruling out the basics swap one in.

Neutral Safety Switch?
Sorry forgot to mention this. From time to time this "no crank" will happen. When it does I perform this simple test. I turn the to the Power position, step on the brake pedal and shift to Neutral. I then turn the ignition key to start the car. I then shift to Park.
If this works then you know that you need to have your Neutral Safety Switch replaced. Lot's if info here on how to do that.
