picture of 74 230 engine bay?

Does anyone have a picture of the 1974 230/4 engine bay? I am still trying to figure out the configuration of the air intake and the valve cover breather and haven't been able to find any useable information.

Specifically, the valve cover breather connects to a valve on the intake manifold, but then to where? Does it connect right at the mouth of the carb, or before the air filter? I am guessing the former. Anyone know what that hardware looks like?

thanks,
daniel

Try this one, it's of a '75, but should be similar.

Helpful but different

Thank you very much,
Unfortunately the 75 carb setup was different it seems, and this owner replaced it with a Weber to boot.

With his Weber the tube goes from the ERG valve right into the carb body. I have looked at my Stromberg closely and have not found anywhere to connect the hose.

Anyone out there with a stock 74 230.4 that would be willing to take a shot of the engine for me?

thanks,
Daniel

Sorry about that, on my car, the valve cover breather is attached to a hard black plastic tube that attaches to the top of the EGR valve and then on to the neck of the hose coming from the air filter housing. Hope this helps. I also have another link for a mercedes archive search that might help:

If you know what area or part your looking for I can get you a diagram of it. What is your year, chassis, model, or VIN (that is best).
