W124 metal pin/prong mystery...
Firstly, apologies for no picture. But when I had the instrument cluster out and under panel apart recently on my 320TE, I found an odd slim metal pin/prong, with no obvious home. It looks OEM, with an electrical plastic plug moulded on one end with 2 wires, and it tapers to a point at the other end. It's about 10cm/4 inches long in total, and only a few mm in diameter. It looks like a small knitting needle!
Anyone have an idea what it might be?
