What does Euro lights give you over stock lights? Some people say that the higher wattage bulbs might melt the wiring harness.

I've seen higher wattage bulbs plugged into the stock setup melting the whole assembly. You can go to the slightly cleaner looking Euro assemblies for about $500. You can also go to Xenon HID lights on the 500E only for around $1000. However, it only works with the 500E because they have aux high beams and the lesser W124 E's have fog lights by the grill instead. Do you find the 500's current lighting to be insufficient?
