Hay guys. Help!

I notice this weekend after getting home I smell gas coming from the driver rear wheel area. I don't smell any gas from the cabin (inside the car) nor the trunk area (at lease it is not obvious).

I confirm the smell of gas today again and look under the ML and saw signs of gas leak coming from the top of the gas tank (picture attached). It was wet to the touch when I got home but dried a few minutes later. So it look like it is leaking when then car is running.

Any ideas??? To me it seem like fuel pump, fuel line from above the tank. But the real questions is how do you access that area. Do you have to drop the tank.

p.s. I have not done any work on the fuel system (like fuel pump change, fuel filter ect). I have fill the tank but that was 1/4 tank ago.
