W124 climate control unit heat not working...options?

So it's finally cooling down here and my heat is not working with the regular CCU. The only way I can get heat to come through is with defrost setting, the spin dial, even when spun all the way to heat and let it click to max, just blows ambient.

What's the best choice here? Just hope an eBay replacement works or does anybody rebuild these?

Anything else to check?

I worked on quite a few. I'd be happy to take a look. I think I've got a few units in my closet too if we can't get your up and running.

Drop me an email (JamesDean59@gmail.com) if interested.

My first step would be to unplug the auxiliary water pump. When the aux pump goes bad, it's a dead short and throws an automatic circuit breaker inside the head unit. If you disconnect it and the heat comes back, replace the pump.
