Which Bosch spark plug?
I've heard a lot of pro's and con's about Bosch Platinum plugs. What's the best type for a 1987 560 SL?
Thanks.

I would suggest using the standard copper core bosch plugs for your car.
Platinum plugs may help other cars, but most have found they don't do much in a benz. I have standard copper core plugs in my 300ce, my brother uses standard copper core plugs in his range rover instead of those +4 plugs, and his car runs much better now than it did with the +4 plugs that have the 4 arms over the electrode. Check fastlane or partsshop. you should easily find the right standard plugs in there for your car. Alon

Most MB engines, especially pre 1996 engines, do not do well with platnium plugs. The installation of those plugs has lead to running problems in many cars.
I would highly recommend you stay with copper plugs. You'll save money and potential headaches.

Which bosch spark plugs
I just took a set of platnium +4s out of my 300E and put in the correct H9DCO plugs and the intermittant rough idle seems to be gone. I did not realize my independant mech had put in the +4s
over two years ago and have suffered with the rough idle ever since.
